Our Story
Dr. Langenbach has been a board-certified veterinary surgeon for over 20 years. She received her veterinary training in Munich Germany, spent five years at the University of Pennsylvania as well as time at Kansas State University, The Ohio State University and Cornell before settling in the DC metro area. Here she founded a large multi facility surgery and sports medicine practice in 2004 that she led till 2025. She became boarded in Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2016. During her time as practice owner and chief of staff, she developed a surgical internship and a residency training program in veterinary surgery and a residency program in sports medicine and rehabilitation.

Her special interest is in joint replacement especially hip replacement, arthroscopy and the integration of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in the healing process of mobility issues. Many of Dr Langenbach's patients are working or sporting dogs. "Bringing the purpose back to the life of dog and handler gives me great joy. You can see it in the patient's and owner/handler's expression when we are able to achieve a pain free state and they are back to work and feeling good again", says Dr Langenbach. Dr Langenbach speaks nationally and internationally in veterinary surgery and sports medicine and has authored and co authored many articles and spoken at national regional and international meetings.

When Dr. Langenbach is not working; she enjoys family time with her (2 and 4 legged) kids, training for running races, reading and gardening. She lives with her family in Vienna, VA.
